Shorewood Packaging’s Nitty Gritty is a new special tactile coating that gives customers a value-added decorative option. The coating—created by adding particles to a UV coating base through a silk-screen printing process—can be opaque or transparent, allowing any color, graphic or text printed beneath the application to be visible. A spot application can be overprinted in register to a printed image to create a slightly raised and rough textured surface.
